Why did you start your business or take the role that you're in now?

In ten years of exploring careers across public relations, event management, sales and people management, the craft I've loved most is helping consult and empower people to do their own jobs better, more efficiently and more meaningfully. This made internal training and development a natural dream job, but I didn’t know whether I should pivot away from my strengths of customer focus and creativity with technology. As it turns out, I now get to leverage my knowledge of our customers daily to teach our employees. In addition, I have the privilege of both using technology to design creative learning experiences as well as travelling across the entire APAC region to enable new capability in my peers.

What inspires you and gets you out of bed in the mornings?

What inspires me is the ability to both make meaningful connections and cultivate community and connection every single day - whether with a good friend, a new professional colleague or a group of coworkers who all want to learn, grow and excel in their endeavours. Working for a purpose-driven company also makes it easier to do this in a corporate setting, because I personally aspire to help connect talent to opportunity and create economic prosperity for every member of the global workforce -- just like LinkedIn does.

What's been the best lesson you've learned in business or your career and why?

The best lesson I've learned in my career is to say yes, especially when an opportunity scares you. Opportunity is often a fated intersection of generosity, timing and someone's faith in our abilities; therefore, too much has aligned for any of us to pass up a great opportunity to leap. I now truly believe that we can achieve anything we set our minds to and are willing to learn about and fail at. Some even say that the Universe only presents us with exactly what we can handle, so we should go for it in order to live our max potential!

What does the future look like for you?

For me, the future holds many unknowns between the pillars of family, adventure, limitless growth and learning as well as connection. I aspire to help people connect to great experiences and opportunities through my job roles, volunteer efforts and consulting. I also love to inspire and empower others to learn from the lessons I've been blessed with through writing, sharing via social and sharing in person when the time is right. Someday I'd love to publish these learnings online or in a memoir, run my own business coaching and speak in a wider forum like TED so that I can help inspire just one person outside my network to move abroad, make a career change or live their maximum potential too!

What's one piece of advice you'd give other women in business or in their careers?

Practice gratitude because the power of a *thank-you* to ripple someone's impact is incredible!
